Can you believe Rugby is 6?? It's amazing to me how quickly the time has passed. We had a party today with 6 friends (2 we invited couldn't make it). We started with lunch and some playing outside.
Then we rounded them up to the basement to play (so Dad could hide the clues to the treasure hunt!!)
After the treasure hunt, we had cake and ice cream. The cake turned out SO AWESOME!! I hope that you can see from the pictures how cool it was....there's jewels spilling from the treasure chest, a cannon on the ship, ferocious fish, and some seriously scary pirates!!
Then it started to rain (YAY!! It waited that long!!) so we opened presents next. The kids had fun watching Rugby open them.
I had a Mommysavers friend mail me the pirate flag. How cool of her!! The kids really thought it was neat to have that hanging there. They even let me take a picture with the treasure chest full of goodies before they attacked them!
After all was said and done we had a GREAT time. Lindsay was here and was a big help with making the treasure map table cloth, hanging streamers and having extra eyes on all the kids.
Oh, and even TJ had a friend here....
Here's all the kids right after they found the treasure chest in the woods. I think they had fun! :)
Jess, it looks awesome. The cake, the set up, the idea...good job!! The kids look to be having a great time too ~ no doubt there. And don't you just love our MOMMYSAVERS friends!!!
