Mommy the Volunteer

My darling 2nd grader had a class field trip Friday. Earlier in the month, they asked for volunteers to chaperone. Parent volunteers were not able to ride the bus. It was 45 minutes from home. So I was thinking that there wouldn't be too many volunteers. Boy was I wrong. There are around 60 kids in the 2nd grade, so I was thinking I'd have 3-4 kids. I had TWO. Rugby and Hunter (a girl who was also in the group I had last year on the field trip) I think the parents were most intrigued by the (1) location of the field trip and (2) the cheap cost of admission with the group. (Less than half the normal price!!)

We went to Underwater World!!

It was SO COOL! The kids had a great time. Plus, part of the program they did included tickets for their whole family to come back...FREE! (Kids free, adults reduced but still good deal!!!) So, we may have to go back another day soon.

I'll leave you with some pictures that Rugby and Hunter took. I may have taken a few of them also (for sure the jellyfish and seahorse ones...they were too tricky for the kids to get on the auto settings of the camera)
