Christmas Crafting!

Every year for Christmas, I make a craft project for my nieces and nephew. This year, after much deliberation, I decided to make fabric covered memo boards with this tutorial. It seemed easy enough and Tim was going to make the frames for me, so how hard could it be, right?

So I gathered my materials

And got to work

And this is what they turned out like!

For Ava: (see the one little butterfly button? SO CUTE!)

Claire: (One cute little dragonfly button and some fringy stuff on this one, the frame was too big so we had to improvise and it turned out awesome!!)

Leah: (I think this one is my favorite!)

Baby Valerie: (this is the first one that I made, so it's kind of wonky. I learned as I went, that's for sure!!)
I also made one for Ryan, but apparently I forgot to take a picture of it. That bums me out, too because I used three different baseball themed buttons for his in addition to the regular buttons and it turned out super cool! Maybe my SIL Christine can post one to share?

I only bent one needle and broke three buttons while I was making them, so that's good....right?!

  3. Hey Jess, these are great! I think if the one for Valerie hadn't been on a square patterned fabric, you wouldn't even be able to tell how 'wonky' it is. Is that a word???
Miss You - oh and I LOVE the cookbook!!!
